The tree is known botanically name as “Terminalia Arjuna”. The leaves are arranged in close opposition and measure 5–13 cm long by 2–5 cm wide. They are oval with a blunt tip and rounded base, short-petiolate, and have a pair of glands approximately 1 mm below the base of the lamina. Older leaves turn vivid red.
